rigging Your poles for fishing
Can you ever have too many rods rigged. The answer depends on your preferences and strategy for the days fishing. A basic largemouth setup should include..
- A fast bait -spinnerbait or crank bait
- A slow bait -jig or worm
- A surface/slop bait -buzz bait or spoon
- A finesse bait -grub, tube or soft jerk bait
It also depends on how much space you have on the boat. You don't want to be tripping on your gear or wasting time untangling your rods.
A good idea is to categorize your rods by the baits you have tied on them. Bundle those rods together with rod straps to keep them organized. Spending a few seconds organizing your rods a few times a day can save you a lot of grief when the bite is on.
